BIOGRAPHY

Joachim Peinke, born 1956, received his PhD and his habilitation at the University of Tübingen. As researcher he stayed at the C.N.R.S. in Grenoble, France and at the University of Bayreuth. In 1998 he became professor in Experimental Physics devoted to Wind Energy at the University of Oldenburg.
 
He has and had several leading positions like member of directorate of ForWind, director of the Centre for Environmental and Sustainability Research of the U. Oldenburg, president of EAWE. His actual research is on turbulence, wind energy and stochastic systems.
